2014 Resolutions February Check-in!

February Resolutions Check-in! - sidneyrose.wordpress.com

This month has flown by! I can’t believe it’s March already.

1. Use a face or hair mask at least once a week.

I have not been super good with this one this month. I’ve only done 2 masks this month. I am going to make a regular day to do a mask. It will probably end up being Saturday or Sunday, but my schedule might change around a bit this month, so I may have to adjust. Doing my first one of the month today!

2. Write at least 3 pages a week.

Again, this has been ok, but not with the consistency that I would like. I want to set aside specific times in the week to write and not just “when I have nothing better to do”.

3. Read one book a month.

I failed this one. I know, I read like 7 books or something in January, so maybe it evens out? Ha. I did start reading Emma by Jane Austen, but I didn’t finish it. I will finish it this month and try to read one more as well.

4. Lose 100 pounds.

This month has been very successful! The scale has not necessarily shown just how great it has been, but I lost 6 lbs this month. Which brings my total to 17.8 lbs for the year so far! I’m very happy about it. This month has been really good though, I have been more consistent and I’ve really been tackling some root issues. One of those issues is emotional eating, and I have done SUPER well this month with that. I’ve also updated my guidelines quite a lot. If you want to see the originals, they’re here.

  • I eat when I’m hungry and stop when I’m full
  • I eat what I want,  but I try to make it healthy and varied most of the time
  • I exercise when I want to and do something that I find fun
  • I talk to someone or do something productive when I am at risk of emotional eating
  • I don’t keep junk food in the house and I don’t buy fast food
  • I keep healthy foods like fruit and vegetables easily accessible
  • I plan my meals ahead of time (even if it’s just in my head)
  • I keep my kitchen clean and organized

So excited for the rest of the year!

5. Make a monthly blog post about how my resolutions are going and what I have done to work towards them.

Check!

This month has been full of a lot of changes, and also a lot of progress. I am already looking forward to writing March’s update!

It’s not too late to keep going with your New Year’s Resolutions or just make new goals to improve your life! Do you have any goals you’re working on at the moment?
